Discuss an HR assessmentA review with a defined purpose
Every assessment is customized. The agreed scope sets the locations, topics, documents, participants, questions, and deliverables. An assessment can focus on selected concerns or a broader set of people-management practices.
Review reporting relationships, decision authority, role clarity, and the handoffs between owners, supervisors, HR, and outside providers.
Examine selected handbooks, policies, job descriptions, and written expectations for clarity and consistency with the way work is managed.
Look at agreed people-management processes and SOPs: who does what, how information moves, what gets documented, and how follow-up happens.
Explore how supervisors assign work, monitor performance, give feedback, address concerns, and apply workplace expectations.
Focus attention on the recurring issues or areas of uncertainty leadership identifies, such as inconsistent decisions, unclear ownership, or communication gaps.
Clarify how internal HR, a PEO, other providers, and legal counsel fit into the work, including when an issue needs specialist attention.
How the assessment works
Tim agrees on the review methods with your organization. The work may include document review, leadership discussions, selected interviews, and observation where appropriate.
Define the questions, boundaries, deliverables, information needed, and points of contact. Confirm timing and fees before work begins.
Examine the selected materials, speak with agreed participants, and observe relevant practices when included. Compare written expectations with the information gathered.
Explain findings, note gaps in the available information, recommend practical next steps, and walk leadership through the action plan.
After the assessment
Implementation is separately scoped. If useful, HRwithTim can help with additional training, policy or process projects, implementation assistance, or ongoing advisory support. A retainer is not required.
Explore additional supportThis is an organizational HR review within an agreed scope. It is not legal advice, legal certification, or a guarantee of compliance. Findings reflect the materials and access available during the engagement.
Legal opinions, formal investigations, and specialist reviews require their own scope or the appropriate professional. Your organization keeps responsibility for decisions and implementation.
